Now for the Sound of Summer
The Sound of Music - Summer Strallen
Hollyoaks actress Summer Strallen will tonight make television history as it is announced she is to step into one of the West End's most prestigious roles.

As aspiring on-screen actress Summer Shaw finally fulfils her dream of auditioning in front of theatre legend Andrew Lloyd Webber, audiences will be stunned as she lands the role of Maria in The Sound of Music.

The Sound of Music - Summer Strallen is offered the part by Andrew Lloyd Webber in Channel 4's HollyoaksLloyd Webber will offer Shaw the role which will then see the off screen star Summer Strallen (who plays Shaw) take over from Connie Fisher at the London Palladium in one of the West End's biggest shows.

Having kept the outcome of the storyline under wraps for weeks, Strallen is delighted with her new role and after creating a stir amongst the nation's press, Lloyd Webber is confident that Strallen will be a popular replacement for Connie Fisher.

Summer Strallen will take over from Connie Fisher in The Sound of Music on 26 February 2008.
